Our Story
A&S Home Design is a family-run bespoke German kitchen business based in Kirkintilloch with over 30 years of experience. Founded by Nephew/Uncle team, Stephen and Adrian McGuigan, they create stunning and efficient kitchens that add value to your home. They also supply and install Nobilia German kitchens which are well-known for their high quality and rigid build. Their family values, laid back customer approach, and their stunning attention to detail make them stand out in a world of cold, sales driven kitchen showrooms.
Marketing Strategies and Tactics
Social Media
Before our service started, A&S Home Design only used Facebook and LinkedIn to promote their business. When we started providing our service, we introduced Twitter, Instagram, along with Google MyBusiness to help build up a larger variety of platforms in which awareness can be built among a varied audience. The regular posting schedule also immediately eliminated one of the customer’s issues, not having the time to post to social media.
Social Media Boost Service
As part of the Facebook and Instagram boost services which we offered our customer, we carry out specific manual tasks every week to help gather more followers, create extended visibility in relevant groups, and drive more engagement overall.
We conduct tasks such as sharing / adapting Instagram post to stories and using various engagement native features of the platform. We also research facebook groups appropriate for our customer and tailor posts to these groups to extend visibility to our customer’s target audience.
Facebook Ads
We also set up and ran Facebook Ads as a source of paid lead gen. These campaigns were successful and saw a good return, getting more customers to visit the showroom allowing for a sales dialogue to be had with the prospective customer.
Email Marketing
We provided an email marketing service in the form of a monthly email newsletter that would build awareness among prospects and previous customers alike. This helped to generate more website traffic and interest in A&S Home Design’s services.
New Website
The previous A&S Home Design website was built on Squarespace to be easy for one person to update. It was now outdated and needed to be updated to meet the customer’s new business goals, updated products, and to incorporate eCommerce. The new website has been built on WordPress and now loads much faster, thanks to the optimisation we carried out. It also looks more up to date with the customer’s branding, bringing in the correct colour schemes and fonts to support this. It is also far more functional as both a sales and marketing tool, has a clear SEO strategy behind it and is structured to be far more user friendly than the previous site.
E-Commerce Integration
As part of the new website build, we have future proofed it for our customer and developed future eCommerce capability into the site, allowing the customer to enable it when ready and increase their revenue through online sales of flat packed kitchens, worktops, flooring, and other lower value items in the future.
Online Chatbot
An online chatbot was also added to the site to help provide value for potential customers, answering any questions they might have. The chatbot can also allow customers to request a digital copy of A&S Home Design’s kitchen brochure and to book an appointment at the showroom.
Photography and Videography services
To support the website and social media with high-quality content, we carried out a number of photoshoots at A&S Home Design’s showroom in Kirkintilloch and the intention is to do more top end photography around A&S Home Design’s completed customer kitchens. The photos and videos we have taken were able to support a number of different marketing activities which include keeping social media posts up to date, updating social media page banners, maintaining the new website, and running ads campaigns.
Customer Testimonial Request Process
To help support A&S Home Design’s already strong word-of-mouth marketing efforts, we built a system that allowed the team to send customer testimonials requests to the customers via a custom branded landing page. It then directs the customer to preferred review channels such as Facebook, google, and repuso, where they can rate and comment on the service they were provided. The team at A&S Home Design can then manually approve the review, after which it will automatically appear on their website without the need to do anything else.
