Our Story
Based only 20 mins outside of Glasgow in their native Ayrshire town of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire Agencies are a Commercial and Residential glazing company with more than 25 years' experience in their industry. Started by Cecil Wilson in the 1990s, the company continues to be family run today by his son, David. The company operates a trade counter and factory where over the years they have worked hard to forge their reputation as leading manufacturers and suppliers of top-quality aluminium products such as bi-folding doors. They also supply solid conservatory roof systems, a large range of plastic building materials, PVC & aluminium windows and doors.
Marketing Strategies and Tactics
Social Media Management
Before coming to Autus, Ayrshire Agencies only occasionally used LinkedIn and never posted on their Facebook page to raise awareness for their business. When we started our service, we immediately started regularly posting 3 times a week across Facebook, LinkedIn business, LinkedIn personal, and added Twitter as another source of organic awareness. The difference was almost immediately obvious as engagement across all channels went up dramatically. The amount of website traffic being received as a result of social media posting also went up significantly.
Facebook Ads
Alongside our social media management service, we also ran Facebook Ads as a source of paid lead gen. This especially helped with a new product market launch during the height of Covid, whereby we helped Ayrshire Agencies pivot in promoting glass protection screens to a range of businesses. These campaigns were successful and saw return on investment through higher audience awareness, an increase in engagement and sales growth.
Hubspot and Mailchimp Implementation and Integration
We implemented and integrated HubSpot CRM and MailChimp systems into Ayrshire Agencies’ marketing and sales workflow. This allowed the team to keep track of leads, build up a database of contacts, and even run their own email marketing campaigns. This integration helped streamline and modernise the company’s previous workflow which heavily relied on manual processes and took up valuable time.
Email Marketing
In an effort to raise more awareness for Ayrshire Agencies’ different services, we ran monthly email marketing campaigns. These emails included general industry news and information around the different products and services that the company offers its residential and trade customers. After starting this part of the service, we saw a monthly increase in visitors to the Ayrshire Agencies website along with a rise in enquiry submissions.

Our relationship with Ayrshire Agencies has extended many years and Autus has become a go to ‘trusted advisor’ for end-to-end marketing consultancy for the business.
